ORGANIC INDIA’s Quinoa (pronounced “keen-wah”) is certified organic Quinoa seeds/grain sourced from organic farmers. Naturally rich in fibre, Quinoa also contains all 9 essential amino acids, making it a great protein source for vegetarians and vegans. Use it as a breakfast cereal or substitute rice with quinoa in khichadi, pulao and stir-fries.

Directions to use:Use 1 part quinoa to 2 parts water. Wash quinoa well to remove all sapiens(tiny black grains that add a bitter taste).Soak washed quinoa in cooking pan with required quantity of water for 1/2 hour. Add 1/2 teaspoon salt and bring to boil. Reduce heat to simmer; cover and cook till all water is absorbed-12 to 15 minutes. Stirring quinoa a few times during cooking to prevent burning. The quinoa is cooked when it turns from white to transparent and the germ spirals out of the grain. Cooked quinoa can be refrigerated for 4 days to use as desired. Add cooked quinoa to salads, soups, stews, breakfast cereals, cutlets, burgers, patties. Replace regular rice or roti with quinoa in your daily diet and feel the difference.
